Every generation gets blamed for its youth not voting! I’ve heard this my whole life. I don’t know for sure why I’ve always voted except that I think it’s because I was raised in a politically-minded family. My parents took politics very seriously and volunteered with different national and state campaigns cold-calling, canvassing neighborhoods, mailing flyers, etc. I think if you set a good example, like anything it just becomes a life-long habit. I’m raising a 12 year old now and she knows more about politics than many adults.
