I have, and I found it hard to follow unless the closed caption was on. The dialogue was drowned out by all the background music/noise. Otherwise, it’s ok–dark gothic/magic. And some episodes are better than others. To me it felt like HP and Dorian Gray were mashed together, with a twist of Dickens thrown in for good measure. And I didn’t care enough to investigate if the show was based on a book from the late 19th century or not. Can’t complain about the casting, though.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell is actually based on Susanna Clarke’s debut novel that came out about 12 years ago. I tried reading it but gave up about 200 pages in. I thought it was more style than substance.
