Tim Kaine was a traditional pick, not bad but very traditional. And that is what concerns me about Mrs. Clinton’s campaign right now. She’s playing it conservative right down the line. Running against a maverick, I think running the grown up status quo is just not going to work.
There’s nothing to do now but hope she can put on a fantastic convention and use the next few months to ignite her party.
I couldn’t agree more. I hope we’re wrong, but I fear this is a year for outsiders, and Clinton doesn’t strike me as someone with keen insight or intuitiveness about what’s going on in our culture right now. There are just too many people and groups all over the political spectrum out there that don’t want Clinton/Kaine to lead.
