Senior Reviewer

I buy too many books, too many weird heavy metal albums, and too many pulp novel reprints.

Currently Reading

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Night Shift by Stephen King

Favorite Romance

Gaaah. Maybe The Secret Pearl by Mary Balogh. Or Defy Not the Heart by Johanna Lindsey. Or Cool Shade by Theresa Weir. Or... (But it's hard to pick just one.)

Favorite Non-Romance

Mirror Dance by Lois McMaster Bujold. Or Schalken the Painter by Sheridan Le Fanu. Or The Changeling by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley. Or something by Stephen King. (But again, it's hard to pick just one.)

What I Love in a Romance

Angst and atmosphere.

Also what editors like to call a "unique voice."

Authors who aren't afraid to be different.

What I Hate in a Romance

Stupid characters.

Otherwise smart characters jumping at stupid conclusions.

Boredom. Boredom is the worst. Your book can make me angry. But it shouldn't bore me.

A Bit More About Me

I can often be seen browsing on the famous Main Street in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Several days a week, you'll find me in the Deep Water Jogging class. Despite the way it sounds, this class does not involve scuba gear.
