Bridgerton Second Epilogues
Avon is releasing in e-book format two short stories (approximately 25 pages each) of additional epilogues for two of Julia Quinn’s popular Bridgerton series novels. My initial thought was “geez, what a racket!” but, as The Viscount Who Loved Me is my favorite Quinn novel, and the notorious “Pall Mall” scene my favorite in the book, I broke down and bought it, but didn’t plan to purchase the second epilogue from It’s in His Kiss. When I learned that AAR planned to review them, I volunteered to do so, as I had already read one.
The wisdom of such a publishing move, the business end of it, the cost of it, whether this is the start of a new trend or an exploitation of a fan base, can – and no doubt will – be argued. But my job is to talk about the stories, and they were pretty darned good.
