I only included books published in 2017:

Penny Reid’s Dating-ish is my hands down favorite romance of the year.

Sherry Thomas’s A Conspiracy in Belgravia and Lucy Parker’s Pretty Face are runners-up.

    Also of note:

    Meredith Duran’s A Lady’s Code of Misconduct
    Ainslie Paton’s The Love Experiment
Loretta Chase’s A Duke in Shining Armor

Looks like, I need to add Dating-ish to my list.

Yes, do read Dating-ish. It’s funny, but it is also so sweet, romantic and sexy too. I’ve reread it three times already.

My favorite romance read of 2017 was actually published in 2015: The Vintage Guide to Love and Romance by Kirsty Greenwood. It was a hoot. I laughed out loud a number of times and immediately looked for other books by the author. Hope those I found live up to that one.

I also thought The Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz was well-written but kind of disturbing. It was published in 2016.

As for the stories published in 2017, I liked Pretty Face by Lucy Parker

I thought Pretty Face was wonderful too. I actually liked it even more than Act Like It from the previous year. Lucy Parker is definitely one of my favorite authors now.

Though they were not published this year, my favorite reads in 2017 were KJ Charles’ M/M romances A Gentleman’s Position and A Seditious Affair. Nothing else came close for me.

I did like Pretty Face, though, now that you mention it. Also, The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, while sort of pseudo-historical and draggy in parts, was a pretty fun read. Not 100% sold on the book cover font, but I guess you could say it’s cheeky like the main character.

I’m adding Dating-ish to my TBR list.
