Considering that I think my retirement has gone to Amazon, I only *just* signed up for Prime and watched the first couple of episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel last night, and I thought it was … marvelous. Ha! Recommend — especially if you like lightening fast dialogue and mid-century New York City. Creator is Amy Sherman-Palladino who some people have a love-hate feeling for after Gilmore Girls. But, this show really jumps off the screen. The 1950’s-60’s set decoration and clothes. The characterization. The humor. It’s about a young upper west side marriage falling apart, and the wife of the pair just finding her voice — as an accidental stand-up act — in the Village.
