What I Love in a Romance

The moment where attraction becomes touch and I know that worlds are about to be rocked, hearts are about to be breached, and love is beginning to flourish. Lines that make me laugh out loud and that make tears roll down my cheeks. Fiendishly clever plots. Lovers that make each other happier for as long as they both shall live.

What I Hate in a Romance

Stupid anything, but especially justifications and misunderstandings. Characters who repeat again and again how sure they are they don't deserve love. Saccharine or sappy endings. Almost all epilogues.

A Bit More About Me

I'd moved ten times--all over the US--by the time I turned 18. I met my husband in a bar (in 1985) and decided, that night, to marry him. Together we have four New Adults and a very small dog. My fervent belief in freedom of speech irks many. I believe there's never been a better TV show than Buffy. I wear a lot of black.
