Two Reports from Different Writers:
1998 RWA National Conference

The 1998 National RWA Conference was held in Anaheim, California, from July 29th through August 2st, with the Beau Monde Conference for Regency Romance Writers held July 28th. Two RWA members filed reports with All About Romance.

Tami D. Cowden has been reading romance novels since she was a teenager. She particularly enjoys regencies and short contemporaries, but indulges in the occasional historical as well. She supports her reading habit with a part time law practice, but hopes to turn to writing full time. She is editor of the Regency Reader and a contributing writer for Eye on the Web ezine. She is nearing completion of her first novel, a short humorous contemporary.

Vicki Badik is a licensed Marriage, Family, Child Counselor who also has a degree in English. She’s an expert on romance; she’s been married nearly thirty years, and has two adult children. She began writing as a child, has published numerous non-fiction articles, and most recently has been a reviewer for Rawhide & Lace and Calico Trails.
