Conard County: Boots and Badges

Rachel Lee’s Conard County mini-series is a popular one and one that I have particularly enjoyed. Unlike some mini-series that center around families, this one centers around a place – Conard County, Wyoming – population about 5,000. The glue that holds the series together is the sheriff, Nate Tate, a man of bed-rock integrity. Nate takes a supporting role here, but it wouldn’t be a Conard County book without him. Conard County: Boots and Badges is made up of four short stories all centered around a woman, originally from Conard County, who is fleeing an abusive marriage.
