I was a huge fan of Batman: The Animated Series, so don’t take it the wrong way when I say that the book worked best for me when I pretended it was set in Gotham City. There was just something about the characters, the humor, and the straight-faced absurdity of the plot that started the Batman theme song playing in the back of my head (Batman!…Sock! Pow!).
