Hot Summer Nights

I’m of the belief that it’s hard to sell lasting love when a couple spends little time together, and the very nature of a short story means that relationships become hyper compressed. Despite this doubt, I figured I’d give the four stories of Hot Summer Nights a try as a bit of light beach reading and because of the great reputations of the four contributing authors. In the end, however, I was left feeling a bit hollow.
