It Happened One Season

It Happened One Season is essentially a conceptual sequel to It Happened One Night, a book I reviewed when it came out three years ago. Like its predecessor, this book features four different takes on the same plotline. In this outing, the heroes are military men who have spent the last year living alone, and the heroines are either either shy or unattractive. The heroine already has a few seasons under her belt, and the hero is a younger son who must marry because his older brother has only daughters. I found this book to be somewhat less successful than the first; two of the stories are hits, and two are misses.
