Porch Swings and Picket Fences

Porch Swings & Picket Fences is a collection of four inspirational romance novelettes set in small town America. While a small town setting is the common thread in these stories, there the similarity ends. Each town is different, and the reader takes a journey that spans the continent, including the typical Mayberry-like Stillwater, Iowa; Pilchuck, Washington, an eccentric, artsy-rural town; Texas-style Crunk; and crisp, clean, McLaughlin, Vermont. These are sweet, breezy stories with the inspirational elements mostly subtle, confined to church attendance and an occasional prayer. I did find a variation in quality among the individual stories, but my overall rating averages a B-.
