They were estranged, she briefly took another lover. They were young, in an argument, she hit him. She asked him who he was, for reasons he couldn’t say, he lied. Her best friend from forever was a guy, his jealousy burned out of control.
They kiss. His hand slips beneath her skirt. She fumbles with the zipper of his pants. Mouths fused, they tumble to the bed. Their clothes melt away and finally, oh so wonderfully, finally they’re naked, skin to skin, hardness to softness. Staring deeply into each other’s eyes…..
We all, I suspect, have read at least one series in its entirety. (Although I can’t imagine having read all 49 of the In Death books. 49!) For the purpose of this discussion, let’s assume that a series is a set of linked books four or more in number.
