He chooses to give Toby his submission and love. Laurie gives Toby what they both desire, and it is so pleasing to see Toby embrace his dominance. This is true love – with or without the BDSM element – to give your partner the things they need to soar, is one of the most beautiful aspects of love and life.

I’ve been very excited to see the recent trend towards books set in the 1950s and 60s since I love the charm and glamour of these eras. Naturally, when I saw that Tiny Little Thing takes place in that time frame I jumped at the chance to review it. I’m glad I did as it evokes all the enchantment, hopefulness and rebelliousness I associate with the Camelot years and the time immediately following them.

Alyssa Cole is such a talented writer. I have liked everything I have read by her so far, and A Princess in Theory is no exception. This is a fanciful story, a modern fairytale, in which the prince of a make-believe African kingdom finds his long-lost betrothed and proceeds to beguile, lose and win her all over again. What could have been a clichéd plot is made magical by Cole’s writing.
