Today’s Steals and Deals at AAR…..

Our reviewer loved this one and so do I. It’s a sexy romp of a read.
This debut novel is filled with witty dialogue, sizzling chemistry, and a truly dreamy former bad-boy hero. Although there is suspense, the focus is clearly on the relationship between the hero and heroine. All I can say is, welcome, Ms. Sey. Please keep the books coming!
FBI Special Agent Liz Brynn is the only person ever to have arrested master thief Patrick O’Connor, and it wasn’t really due to any brilliance on her part since he turned himself in years earlier to save his sister from arrest. Rather than serving time, Patrick became a confidential information source – or weasel – for Liz. He’s been straight for three years and is a best-selling novelist and screen writer in California. He’s had no contact with Liz in the ensuing years, but is now back in her office in Minnesota.
Patrick tells Liz that he’s back at the request of his sister to help find a counterfeiter plaguing her restaurant. It quickly becomes clear that there’s more going on than just counterfeiting. Patrick betrayed his criminal mentor to save his sister and now has word that the mentor is edging closer to Minnesota and his sister’s home. Soon, Patrick and Liz are working together, only this time, he’s not her weasel – they’re equals.

Readers love this m/m series by Sarina Bowen. Here’s the blurb:
My name is Hudson Newgate, but my teammates call me New Guy.
That was my nickname in Chicago, too. And Vancouver. That’s what happens when you keep getting traded. Brooklyn is my last chance, especially after my poor performance last season.
But I can make this work. The new guy knows to keep his head down and shoot the puck. The new guy puts the game first.
What he doesn’t do is hook up with the other new guy—a hot athletic trainer who lives in my building. Gavin needs this job with my team. He’s a single dad with responsibilities.
We can’t be a couple. My arrogant agent–who’s also my father–will lose his mind if I’m dating a dude. And my team needs me to score goals, not whip up a media circus.
Too bad Gavin and I are terrible at resisting each other…

This is a fun m/m fantasy. In her review, Caz wrote:
A Strange and Stubborn Endurance is an enjoyable fantasy romance novel in which an arranged marriage provides the spark for murder, intrigue and political shenanigans. The worldbuilding is solid, with well-developed and detailed societal customs and hierarchies, the protagonists are likeable and the central romance is tender and drips with lots of lovely UST.

I love Kate Morton. This one is riveting. Here’s the blurb:
During a picnic at her family’s farm in the English countryside, sixteen-year-old Laurel Nicolson witnesses a shocking crime, a crime that challenges everything she knows about her adored mother, Dorothy. Now, fifty years later, Laurel and her sisters are meeting at the farm to celebrate Dorothy’s ninetieth birthday. Realizing that this is her last chance to discover the truth about that long-ago day, Laurel searches for answers that can only be found in Dorothy’s past. Clue by clue, she traces a secret history of three strangers from vastly different worlds thrown together in war-torn London—Dorothy, Vivien, and Jimmy—whose lives are forever after entwined. A gripping story of deception and passion, The Secret Keeper will keep you enthralled to the last page.
