Today’s Steals and Deals at AAR…..

This is one of my faves by Carlyle. And if you enjoy her historical romances, tons are on sale right now! In our DIK review of this one, we wrote:

Liz Carlyle is a wonderful storyteller. She does a fabulous job of sculpting and developing characters slowly, so that working out who, exactly, Mercer and Zoë are is a long and fascinating process. Both of them, and a number of the side characters, are all complex and interesting people, and it was a delight getting to know them through this book.

The story felt real and emotional, with just enough subtle humor to poke fun at the characters’ flaws. Mercer and Zoë were a perfect example of the reserved man coupled with the charming woman. They had great chemistry, and watching Zoë break through his icy façade was great. Mercer and Zoë both change so much during the course of the book – it’s interesting to see how two people who at first you can’t imagine together, are brought together slowly and inexorably by the changing situation around them.

I enjoyed this contemp a lot. It’s smart and sexy. In our B+ review, we wrote:

I recommend this sparkling gem to readers ready for a rock star romcom with a little bit of magic.

This too is a fave of mine. In our DIK review of it, we wrote:

Suddenly You was originally published in 2001, and it’s easy to understand why it’s such a firm favourite with many. It’s got a higher steam-quotient than some of the author’s other books dating from this period, but the thing I most enjoyed about it was the way in which the hero is so completely smitten with the heroine from the outset and is wonderfully supportive and encouraging of her throughout.

Quinn’s books are on sale all this month although the list changes every day. Today, this is among the many. It’s a fun read. In our review, we wrote:

Having listened to – and enjoyed – the previous two books in the Smythe-Smith series, I’m inclined to think this is the best of them so far. Each one has been full of Ms Quinn’s trademark wit and excellent characterisation, but for me, The Sum of All Kisses had a little something extra in the romance between the maimed hero and sharp-tongued heroine.
