This series is hotter than hot. This is book one and we liked it!

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a story which doesn’t try too hard or pretend to be anything other than what it is. I loved its lack of pretension and I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the camaraderie between the brothers. Travis is a bit of a dick but I’m looking forward to seeing him redeemed as time and the other books go by.

At 14, his half brother died, and his father concentrated on making amends with Noah, who now goes by Preston Walcott so as to fit in to society. So it’s understandable when Jenny arrives in Grove and sees Noah with his “country club” friends that she mistakes him for the caretaker, not the owner. And Noah (and his friends) decide to play along, mainly because all they know of Jenny is her spoiled homewrecker persona from the tabloids.

I know there are old skool romance lovers on this list! Back in the day, we liked this a lot. 

What really made this book sing was the complexity of the characters and the story. So many romances feature characters you have seen before, plots that are obvious from the first page, and stereotypical villains with black masks and diabolical laughs. The characters in The Outsider are well-rounded, with flaws and virtues. The problems they face won’t be solved in the blink of an eye. When they ultimately come together, the union is all the more satisfying, which was the case in this wonderful romance.
