We love these books. In our review of book one, we wrote: His Majesty’s Dragon is the first book in what will be, at the very least, a trilogy. Throne of Jade, Novik’s second book in the series, is already out, and the third will be released in late May. So fans of Laurence and Temeraire will be able to immerse themselves in this new and very exciting parallel universe right from the very start. That’s good news!

Oh how I love these books. They have the whole package: adventure, world-building, romance, and heart pounding plots. Here’s the blurb:

I know many have issues about these books and I get it. But, they are a marvelous experience. I reread Little House on the Prairie several years ago after reading the mesmerizing Prairie Fires and was blown away by the world and the time Ingalls created.

If you’ve not read this, well, you’ve missed a canonical book in the genre. In our DIK review, we wrote: Devil’s Bride is set in the Regency period and features one of the strongest, most self-assured heroines I have ever encountered.
