Today’s Steals and Deals at AAR…..

We gave two of these three books a B or higher grade. In our review of It’s In His Kiss, our reviewer wrote:
If you are looking for some lighthearted, laugh-out-loud summer reading that will also fill your need for a tender romance, look no further. Julia Quinn’s latest installment of the Bridgerton series is full of subtle humor, witty dialogue, and an undeniable chemistry between the leads. Although many of the story’s scenarios are usual fare for a European Historical, Gareth and Hyacinth’s story has a sparkling edge that drew me in. Yeah, Gareth is the immensely attractive, lovable rogue who has never considered marriage – but with a freshness that made me appreciate this type of hero all over again.

This is a DIK at AAR. Our reviewer wrote: I don’t read a lot of young adult fiction, but when I discovered this received a nomination for best first book of 2010 in the Rita nominations, I decided to take a chance on it. I’m glad I did because I loved this first entry in the author’s Iron Fae series, and am eager to read the rest.

This Arthurian retelling, published this year, has critics raving. The Wall Street Journal called it the best fantasy of the year.

This contemporary romance got a DIK from us! In her review, Lisa wrote: It’s a good romance that moves at the right pace and makes absolutely perfect sense. And the book is just as brightly funny as the rest of the series, though there are a couple of moments that veer toward humiliation humor. The rest of the Bromance Book Club guys pop up throughout the novel, as do their spouses and significant others, to offer advice and absorb some gossip. Colton’s family is predictably great while Gretchen’s is particularly awful, and the holiday atmosphere is cheery without being overdone.
