Today’s Steals and Deals at AAR…..

I could not put this book down. In our DIK review, Shannon wrote:
If you’re looking for a thriller with an original spin, hurry and grab a copy of Our House. It’s unlike anything I’ve read this year, and I can’t wait for others to read it and love it as much as I did.

Readers love this one. Here’s the blurb:
During a bloody borderland skirmish, thirteen-year-old Waryk de Graham wields his slain father’s sword and vanquishes the Norman enemy. Ten years later, with King Henry I dead and the English succession in chaos, Waryk, the newly knighted Laird Lion, is once again fighting for his Scottish homeland—this time against Normans and Vikings alike. But it is for the heart of one extraordinary woman that the great warrior will wage his fiercest battle.
The daughter of a Gaelic noblewoman and a Viking warlord, proud, independent Lady Mellyora MacAdin of Blue Isle is a formidable swordswoman who yields to no man. When Scotland’s King David decrees that she marry the war-scarred knight Waryk in order to keep the Viking island secure for his kingdom, she defiantly rebels.

I liked this one too! Here’s the blurb:
When Ruby McTavish Callahan Woodward Miller Kenmore dies, she’s not only North Carolina’s richest woman, she’s also its most notorious. The victim of a famous kidnapping as a child and a widow four times over, Ruby ruled the tiny town of Tavistock from Ashby House, her family’s estate high in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
But in the aftermath of her death, her adopted son, Camden, wants little to do with the house or the money—and even less to do with the surviving McTavishes. Instead, he rejects his inheritance, settling into a normal life as an English teacher in Colorado and marrying Jules, a woman just as eager to escape her own messy past.
Ten years later, his uncle’s death pulls Cam and Jules back into the family fold at Ashby House. Its views are just as stunning as ever, its rooms just as elegant, but the legacy of Ruby is inescapable.
And as Ashby House tightens its grip on Jules and Camden, questions about the infamous heiress come to light. Was there any truth to the persistent rumors following her disappearance as a girl? What really happened to those four husbands, who all died under mysterious circumstances? And why did she adopt Cam in the first place? Soon, Jules and Cam realize that an inheritance can entail far more than what’s written in a will––and that the bonds of family stretch far beyond the grave.

This one is HOT. In our DIK review, we said:
I enjoyed the time I spent getting to know Honor and Gabriel. The intrigue was quite well-done, and the romance was very believable. I was rooting for the HEA long before either Gabriel or Honor thought it was possible. They balance each other out so well. Ms. Ashenden has given us a fabulous start to what promises to be an exciting, action-packed and sensual series.
