Here are some recent reads I've enjoyed: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus reminds me of favorites like Where'd You Go Bernadette and The Rosie Project. It takes place in the 60's as more women were entering the workforce and stars Elizabeth, a chemist. I thought it started out sad then at around 35% I was hooked and didn't want to put it down. It has humor, twists, and an incredible dog named Six-Thirty. Brie Larson is supposed to star in it on Apple TV. Lessons in Chemistry really hit the spot and I gave it 5 stars. Mr. Wrong Number by Lynn Painter: I really enjoyed the humor in this rom-com, especially in the banter and Olivia's zany, bad luck mishaps. The first 3/4 was great. The last section had a couple of big misunderstandings that dragged and I wanted more closure from the ending but I enjoyed the humor so much in the first part, I gave it 4 stars and look forward to her next book, The Love Wager.
