AAR at the Movies: Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton)

What I liked: Alan Rickman as the caterpillar.  Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.

What I loved: Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen.  Hilarious.

What I wasn’t nuts about: Everything else.

It was okay.  It wasn’t bad.  But except for some highlights, it was pretty meh.  Especially the ending.

I live in Seattle, Washington and work as a legal assistant. I remember learning to read (comic strips) at a young age and nowadays try to read about 5-6 books a week. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and enjoy exploring smaller towns off the tourist track though London is my favorite city in the world.

It was all right… I agree. I’m glad I saw it, I guess, but it wasn’t enthralling. I expected… more, somehow.

I love the books so much, and when I heard Tim Burton was going to direst a movie, I did a happy dance.

Then I saw the movie.

Interesting – but it wasn’t Alice.
