I live in Seattle, Washington and work as a legal assistant. I remember learning to read (comic strips) at a young age and nowadays try to read about 5-6 books a week. I love to travel, especially to Europe, and enjoy exploring smaller towns off the tourist track though London is my favorite city in the world.

One thing I thought was interesting how they downplayed Holmes’ cocaine addiction. From what I saw (and I could have missed it) there was never a direct link between Holmes’ manic episodes and the fact that he was loosing himself in cocaine. My feeling is that they knew it would just be too creepy for audiences to watch THAT actor portray drug addiction.
I enjoyed the movie and I thought Downy was quite good as Sherlock Holmes, Action Hero. But it wasn’t Sherlock Holmes. And god alone knows that Rachel MacAdams sure as shit wasn’t Irene Adler!
By far the best movie of 2009. Downy is, as always, perfection!
