Savor You
Folks who have followed the previous four books in the Fusion series are well acquainted with Savor You’s heroine, Mia Palazzo. A genius chef, but a touch cantankerous, Mia has zero desire to be in the spotlight. However, when her restaurant, Seduction, gets chosen to be featured on a prestigious foodie show, she can’t turn it down. Mia psyches herself up and is all ready to go, when the human who represents her biggest mistake turns out to be her co-host.
Camden Sawyer is a world-renowned celebrity chef who is absolutely at the top of his game. (I picture him a bit like an American Jamie Oliver, for what it’s worth). The show is a kitchen throwdown challenge and he’s eager to go up against Mia, someone who was a huge part of his life years ago but has since fallen out of it. When they meet again, she does not disappoint.
I’ve had a lot of fun with this entire series and have been waiting for Mia’s book since we first met her. I knew there were secrets we weren’t being told and I couldn’t wait to spend time with this woman – so clearly on the top of her game professionally yet completely walled off personally. Savor You was exactly what I was hoping it would be.
The plot in this book is largely inconsequential and I’ll make your one-click easy for you. Do you like second chance romances? Frenemies-to-lovers? Foodie books? Hot sex between witty people? Visits from previous characters that enrich the book but don’t detract from it if you’ve never read their stories? Then get Savor You.
Also, if you’re looking for a great palate-cleanser series – you know, the one where you can read five books in a row and be delighted by all of them but need to think about none of them – then Fusion is a great bet all around. The whole series, and this book in particular, will be perfect pool/beach reads for northern hemisphere vacation takers in the coming months. While the copy uses the word ‘next installment’, all signs within the text point to this being the conclusion of journey with these five friends, which makes all the more reason to collect all five works and deep dive into delight.

I’m super excited to read this one; yay, a plus-sized heroine!
Robin – I hope you enjoy them! There is certainly emotional angst in several of them, but I certainly wouldn’t say grit, haha! Please let me know if you do end up reading – I’d love to hear your thoughts.
This sounds so fun! I’m not a big contemporary romance reader, and I generally need some grit or seriousness in my reads, but these look like perfect escapist reading – especially since I like all the things you mentioned. ;)
