Yesterday, Tal Bauer – who has been on hiatus for the last couple of years – announced a new book called The Fall in his FB group. No release date given, although he says “soon” – hopefully this month.
It was released September 13, 2025. I’m already reading it, but very slowly, because –800 pages in first person narrative! One of my favourite authors, and it took me by surprise.
It was definitely a last-minute surprise! I plan to read it, too, but I can’t fit an 800 page book into my schedule right now!
I am looking forward to Elodie Harper’s Sept. 2 release of Boudicca’s Daughter. I love her Wolf Den trilogy set in Pompeii and Roman Britain is one of my favorite book locations.
I didn’t know Briar Prescott had a new book coming out – yay! I’m also looking forward to Nicky James’ latest,
For fans of Lane Hayes, she has a novella called Better Than Baby coming out on 9/25 that continues the story of her long standing couple Matt and Aaron of the Better Than series.
For fans of May Archer’s Sunday Brothers series, there is a novella called Hot Chicken coming out on 9/9 featuring stories about all the couples.
I have a comment that seems to be stuck in moderation. Could it have been a link to a book’s Amazon page that did it?
I’m not sure – our spam filter just seems to randomly designate comments as spam even though the commenter has posted before!
I don’t know what happened but there are no comments in moderation. Sorry!
Brigham Vaughn’s Slew Foot, Book 3 of Second Chances Series comes out Sept 19.
Books 1 and 2 have been reviewed here.
For some reason I had it in my head that it was October! I’ll see if I can get an ARC to review when they’re available.
I’m looking forward to this one too!
Ali Hazelwood’s new one is a surprise to me. Fake Skating by Lynn Painter and Road Trip with a Vampire by Jenna Levine are both a lot of fun!
It looks like you’ve noted three of the four books I have on my September tbr:
Jay Hogan’s THE QUESTION OF US (September 4) continues the romantic-suspense series that started with THE MEANING OF YOU. The MCs are middle-aged men who were falling in love (and dodging danger) in the previous books and are now being pulled back in to the situation they thought they had escaped.
KD Casey’s BREAKOUT YEAR (September 12) is a baseball romance featuring a fake relationship between a rookie phenom and a former player (the first Orthodox Jew to play professional baseball). I love Casey’s perfect blend of baseball & romance.
Jesse H Reign’s FLAGRANT FOUL (September 17) continues her Totally Pucked series of m/m hockey romances. This one features the brother’s best friend trope.
Nicky James’s A BREATH OF LIFE (September 18) continues the Krause-Domingo romantic suspense series with opposites attract MCs and always a mystery or two to solve.
I plan to review three of those (Hogan, Casey, James) – I just got the ARC of the Casey so I’ll be starting that today. I haven’t read Jesse H. Reign; I’ve looked at the blurbs for some of her books and am not sure they’re for me, although I have Unbreak Me on my Audible wishlist.
Do you know anything about The Island by Briar Prescott? I can’t find it on Goodreads.
I’ve known she had a new book coming out in Sept. for a while, but she literally only announced the date yesterday (in her FB group) so it probably isn’t there yet. I’ll keep an eye out for it – GR is now importing Audible and Amazon book info directly, which means GR Librarians can’t add Kindle and Audible editions any more, otherwise I’d do it.
Great! Thanks.
If you click the hyperlink in the post, it goes to the Amazon listing which has a blurb.
