Eagerly Awaited September Books
I was such a happy camper when I looked over the September new releases list. I’ve been waiting for Deanna Raybourn’s newest book for ages! Judging from the responses I received from others here at AAR, I’m not the only one. New releases from the likes of Meredith Duran, Tessa Dare, and Mary Balogh make this a big month for historical fans, but there are plenty of goodies to be had in other subgenres as well. What do you want to be reading in September?

Didnt care for luck be a lady
My line-up:
Scotsman of My Dreams by Karen Ranney–I always look forward to and read her books.
When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare–I’ve read reviews of this book with an A grade.
The Legend of Lyon Redmond by Julie Ann Long–at long last.
The Stolen Mackenzie Bride by Jennifer Ashley–worried about the ’45 setting.
Following up on @Jane’s comment, I just finished A Curious Beginning and didn’t care for the heroine. It’s interesting how people can have different reactions to the same thing. I didn’t find Veronica all that likeable and that colored my opinion of the book.
I’m currently reading Luck Be a Lady and it’s very good.
I’ve read A CURIOUS BEGINNING and really loved it. I have a feeling that the heroine may be one who engenders a strong response from readers. Some will like her, others will not. For me she seemed to be an edgier successor to Amelia Peabody and while this one feels like a lot of set-up for what I hope will be a long series, I really enjoyed it.
I’ve already finished Luck Be a Lady, and it’s terrific.
I’m also looking forward to-
In Her Defense by Julianna Keyes
Shooting Dirty by Jill Sorenson
Hold On by Kristen Ashley
Crosstown Crush by Cara Mckenna
Definitely Raybourn’s _A Curious Beginning_ and Duran’s _Luck Be a Lady_ for me!
