Have you heard Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa?

Dabney’s After Hours blog about Lera Lynn sent me on a quest this week to discover a new song or artist, which honestly is a lot more difficult than it seems.   Checking out iTunes, and then Billboard, then YouTube and then back to iTunes again, I finally discovered two excellent artists.

While Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa both have a long history in the music business, it is their collaboration on Don’t Explain, their album of blues soul covers, that just blows me away.

I don’t have elaborate videos but I do have two fabulous songs to start your morning off right as they cover Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way” (top) and below, a cover of “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James.
