Sad but true: I listen to music less often than I did when I was younger. This may partly be the result of having to put up with a certain amount of noise at work – I really appreciate the quiet nowadays. It may also have to do with the fact that my husband a) listens to the news a lot on the radio, and b) despises almost all of the music I like. So I hardly ever put in a CD during the hours we spend together. But sometimes I get gripped by the urgent need to place a CD in the player, turn up the volume and sing along with a favorite song or two. Today I just had to listen to Falling Into You by Celine Dion. (Fortunately, my husband isn’t at home right now. He detests Celine Dion. Why is it that heavy metal is perfectly acceptable socially, whereas Celine Dion isn’t? Sigh!)
I adore Falling Into You. I love almost every song. My two greatest favorites, the songs I like to listen to five times in a row, are It’s All Coming Back to Me Now and I Don’t Know.
