It’s the 20th Anniversary of Lord of Scoundrels!

AAR feels old! We can’t believe many of us first read Loretta Chase’s classic romance Lord of Scoundrels 20 years ago! We first reviewed the historical romance in 1997. The review was written by a reader who gave the book an A. In the review, she wrote:

One of the greatest thrills about reading, for me, is to begin a new book and within the first few pages realize that it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. I get a shiver and I breathe a sigh of contentment and just fall into state of near total euphoria. Top 100 Poll – The Best of the Rest

dukeofherown Now that you’ve all had time to look over the results of the 2013 Top 100 Poll, it’s time to take a look at something many of you asked for, the romances that missed the top 100, but are in places 101 to 200. And since ballots from readers contained 4,961 titles which received at least one vote, being in 200th place is still a remarkable achievement.

A number of titles in the 101-200th places are by authors who also had titles in the top 100. For example, Mary Balogh had five titles place in the top 100 and has an additional five in the second 100. Elizabeth Hoyt had two titles in the top 100 and an additional seven in the second 100. And Lisa Kleypas had 12 in the top 100 and another six in the second hundred. […]

These posts were fun for us, and now it’s your turn to join in the fun and tell us what your favorite romances of all time are. And we’re not asking you to list just your top 10 you can list up to 100 romances. Yes, today is the opening of the 2013 AAR Top 100 Poll with voting closing on Sunday, October 20 at midnight, United States Eastern Standard Time.
