[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCKlHejwy2kLast week, I was fortunate enough to be able to go to a concert of The Hooters. They are not a band I know that well, but as they performed nearby, it seemed a shame not to go. And am I glad I went! The venue was squeezed full of enthusiastic fans – in their 40s and 50s most of them, but all ready to rock! Although I loved the performance from the first note played, I got the absolute shivers at the third song – All You Zombies. (This is not a live version, but one I love anyway.)

The band played and sang for an energetic two hours, in a hall that was HOT. They partly spoke in German to the audience and even sang a couple of stanzas in German – in excellent German that is. I appreciated that effort very much!

The second absolute highlight of the evening for me was Eric Bazilian singing One of Us. I’d had no idea he’d written that song, a favorite of mine, and was thrilled to hear his version.

Any other Hooters fans out there?
