I wrote briefly about Terms of Endearment but my article doesn’t have the depth of data that was discovered by Siteopia.com. MSN summarized the information Siteopia.com discovered after interviewing 2,000 British individuals between 18 and 60. Only one in five call their significant other by his/her first name. That means that 80 percent use pet names. The short version of the article is many people don’t want you to call them Babe.
Here is a list of most disliked and liked names.

Ah, you could definitely call me Babe over Sweet cheeks, Snookums, Baby doll, Baby girl, Ducky, Baby cakes, Sexy Pants, Pudding, Muffin, Angel pie, Puppy, Treacle (sorry no offense, but it sounds like a disease) and Pickle. Sheesh, what were these people thinking? Here are two oldies for those who are with me on the Babe endearment.[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylGrQVL774k [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WR58N3ak5Q
They did it right as far as what they liked to be called. I have no problem, no problem at all with someone calling me Gorgeous.

I guess if the right person called me Dearest, or Precious, it would be okay. But Snowflake, Blossom, Buttercup, Flower along with Princess would have to go.
