  • Scottish Brides

Scottish Brides is an entertaining anthology that lovers of Scottish historicals will enjoy. The darker tone of Karen Ranney’s novella is definitely different than the varyingly lighter tones of the three other novellas presented. Of the four, only Dodd’s story comes up short – but then, it is only 61 pages long.

  • Temptation BLAZE

“BLAZE …Three romantic, red-hot stories. Feel the heat! BLAZE. It’s hot … and it’s out of control! Three sizzling love stories from today’s hottest writers!” Uh, I didn’t write that. In order to develop a good time travel romance, there needs to be length and breadth, something not available in an anthology format. As such, these stories were told too quickly and romance and depth were…

  • Hot Chocolate

Much as I love Jayne Ann Krentz’s books, I can’t get into the whole Seattle coffee drinking thing. Coffee is something you have to learn to like and I never learned. Now chocolate is a whole other thing. I’m certain we are born loving it. Hot Chocolate is a tasty anthology of four stories all…

  • Silent Night

Anthologies generally have some theme that ties all the stories together, but the tales in Silent Night have nothing in common other than the fact they all take place on or about December 25th. The opener, A Very Berry Christmas, is the most out-of-place, and is so far removed from Midnight in Death as to…
