Bath or shower?

0511-0901-0516-4420_Man_Singing_in_the_Shower_clipart_imageWhen you’ve gone tramping for a few days, and sweated blood and, well, sweat, you tend to think about that nice hot shower at the end of the road.  Funnily enough, I didn’t think about baths.  I just don’t see the point in sitting in your own private pond of personal refuse, even if it is your own.  And being finicky, I feel I have to scrub the tub before and after.  Granted, it smells nice, and the few times a year I take a bath, I relish it like hell.  But it’s mainly to use up the bath products I get.  And even then, I take a shower beforehand.

What about you?  Given unlimited water supplies, would you prefer to shower or take a bath?

Love baths. Love showers. I take more showers than baths, usually, just because they’re a bit quicker (I DO enjoy a good soak, especially if I have achy muscles or some such, and I light some scented candles, maybe use a facial mask), but if you made me choose forevermore between showers and baths, I would choose bath — I would miss ever having a shower again, yes, but I would just feel mistreated and bereft if I could never, ever again have a soak in a bath.

Bath. I am blind as a bat without my glasses and I hate to take them off, even for a shower (I can’t wear contacts). I am not a soaker, and I take very quick baths. The only time I have my glasses off is when I am asleep and even then, they are close at hand.

Can’t remember the last time I took a bath—hate them. As a young girl growing up, that’s all we had access to. When we moved to our first house with a shower, I was totally converted and never went back, except for those rare occasions following childbirth when they felt so good. Showers, for me, is the only way to go now.

I think soaking in the water is just a waste of time, and after emptying the tub I feel that I must have a light shower to remove the last bits of soap and skin and everything, so why bothering ? I just go directly for the shower, it’s faster and so much better.

I’m definitely a shower person. I even now live in a place that has a jacuzzi tub in my master bath and I haven’t used it once. I probably take a bath maybe twice each winter, and like you, mainly to use up bath products…and yes, have to thoroughly scrub the tub before and after.
