This week, I am in Iceland with my daughter. Thus, there will be no blogs other than the ask@AAR on Friday. So, enjoy the reviews and I’ll be back this weekend!

I’m jealous as I’ve always wanted to visit Iceland (so far all I’ve been to is the airport when changing planes on Icelandair). Have you seen the Northern Lights? May the weather turn better and may you enjoy the rest of your trip.
No Northern Lights–it’s been too overcast. Which is a bummer–The Golden Compass made me long to see them. But not, I think, this time. :(
We did finally see them last night although they were muted a bit by the light pollution in Reykjavik. Very cool!
Today was a gorgeous day! We did indeed go to toÞingvellir National Park and walked between two continents on the Mid Atlantic Ridge!
Thanks for the picture!
I always have wanted to stand on the Mid-Atlantic Rift where you can have one foot in Europe and the other in North America.
Enjoy whatever you plan to do there!
It’s been amazing but stressful too. We got caught in a serious blizzard today and found that the road to the Eastern part of the island was closed. We raced back against the storm–the road was superb and I rented a Tesla–I drive one–which handled beautifully. But we had to redo our five day trip. We are now back in the Reykjavik area and are hoping for clear enough weather to hike tomorrow. It’s been a fun adventure!
I should add we were and had been checking the roads and weather apps. This storm just blew in!
Enjoy the… geothermal energy? ;-)
That sounds like fun. May you have safe travels and wonderful adventures with your daughter!
